Jane’s chased her passion for world-class winemaking all the way from her native Australia to Portugal, Italy and finally, the Central Coast of California. Today she lives, works and breathes in the same spectacular spots as the grapes she crushes for Bezel. Jane’s on-the-ground knowledge of Edna Valley and Paso Robles builds on the Cakebread team’s deep expertise to make Bezel wines the dynamic, distinctive individuals they are.
Putting California’s Central Coast on the Map
We source all the fruit for Bezel Wines from California’s Central Coast. This up-and-coming wine region runs along the Pacific coast from the Santa Cruz Mountains in the north all the way south to Santa Barbara. Along the way, it includes some seriously amazing vineyards in Paso Robles, Edna Valley, and San Luis Obispo, among many other places.
The Central Coast’s long growing season and cool ocean breezes produce grapes with bright fruit and complex aromas. But certain sub-regions bring their own special flavor and personality. For Bezel, we seek out those hidden gems and put them front and center where they can really shine.
